The true impact of any initiative is always local. TheIRI focuses its efforts in select regions, diving deep to create meaningful change. Local transitions can drive tangible progress for communities, while also generating the momentum needed to meet global goals for people, nature, and the climate. Focussed locally, we address these challenges at the country level, we ensure both localized improvements and a broader impact toward global sustainability objectives.
Our strategy is to foster long-term, multi-year partnerships with state and country governments, businesses, NGOs, and other organizations to assist countries in their transitions, particularly in economic planning and cross-sector finance. We provide decision-makers with the data, research, and evidence-based strategies needed to transform national systems for food production, natural resource management, energy, and urban development. By sharing insights from our work, we aim to scale solutions globally and drive systemic economic changes.
We recognize that local and national transformations take time, thus our approach is grounded in a deep understanding of the political landscape. We prioritize co-creating solutions with local partners, ensuring mutual investment in the outcomes and fostering long-term commitment from all involved parties.
